Re: 292 parts

On the aircleaner there's been a NOS one on ebay for a while now in a seller's store reposted a couple times for $125, never sells. I debate from time to time picking it up in case I ever swap a 292 in a truck but I dont need more clutter. My guess is given that fact, plus the rust on the one you have, perhaps $30 or so complete?

Re: 292 parts

no sir, I did find out what one would be willin to pay for the brackets
but no sale was made. saving that for the parts board

this is the wiw section and I'm still waiting on some feed back on them.
there is lots of info on these when doing a search(I made it to page 22) except what they are worth or sold for.

22 pages and I only saw four pics of these same brackets and two of them were pics of the same engine are they really that rare?

almost the same for the air cleaner (although i didnt do 22 pages only read something like 15 on this) they almost all look the same(except the oil bath units) but most of the others have a cone shaped snorkel and a diverter valve.
too me the one on ebay dont count its very nice but its not the same vintage although this one is crumby looking its not to far gone where it could very easyly be restored.

I've had to do lots of searching to *try* to guess at prices for my leftovers that did nothing but take up space for a long time on me...

Simple but stupid question:

When you did your search did you limit the text you looked for to the buy/sell section only and weed out the general threads that were around?

It took me 3-4 searches before I thought of doing that myself
