Re: what headers are you running
I have Hedman 69096 ceramic coated on mine , work well , a little bit of tweaking of clutch linkage if you run manual trans. Nothing serious at all, I am happy with fit.
I also found them at a swap meet for 150 dollars new never used, which also made me HAPPY! Last edited by MARTYZ; 09-30-2012 at 08:57 PM. |

Re: what headers are you running
I had a difficult time trying to find headers that would fit with manual linkage. I ended up going with block hugger headers. They fit nice, look good and it was easy to build exhaust from.

Re: what headers are you running
The Hedman #69260's are designed to fit these trucks with a small block, but they have only 1-1/2" primaries. The Hedman #69090's are designed for newer trucks but will work in these trucks just fine with either manual or automatic trans. They have 1-5/8" primaries. Those numbers are for plain steel. Ceramic coated headers are available with just one number change.

Re: what headers are you running
MARTYZ, is your truck lowered? $150 thats a good score.... my truck is lowered 4" in the front and 6" in the rear. both hedman and hooker say these are for stock ride height trucks only. do you drag on speed bumps or driveways?

Re: what headers are you running
Mine is down a bit, 2.5 drop spindles in front and bags in rear , not draging but I would not want to be much lower than it is, Get you some photos of clearance i have and some measurements

Re: what headers are you running
Willy, camera batteries dead, 9 inches from floor to frame and 5 inches from floor to lowest point of headers, engine and trans on origonal stock mounts. Basicly headers are 4 inches lower tham frame rail, measured at front cab mount. Hope thaat helps!
