My glove box door has the "textured" black finish with some big scratches that go down to the metal. How can I reproduce the "textured" finish? It's not really rough but not slick either, about like 1000 grit sandpaper maybe?

Try the search function. A while back I read a thread about someone having used bedliner to replicate the factory texture coat.

Is it actually textured or painted with a flat or satin paint? You can get a product called fleck stone if you want to texture it, then paint it what ever color you want. I textured my heater box by dusting it with sawdust after I gave it a coat of paint, the sawdust stick to the wet paint. Once it hardened up I gave it a couple more coats and it hardens up really nice.

I used some Wrinkle finish paint on some stuff one time, but not for trucks. It does have to be baked in an oven, but the glove box doors will fit in most ovens....not microwave...

They make a wrinkle black spray paint that does not have to be heated up I have used it a number of times and it works well, it wrinkles as it drys.
