I don't know the difference. The one I have is inside the cab and has a turn nob that only has one setting but you can adjust where the air comes out. Either at your feet or at your feet and through the dash.

The economy heater is located inside the cab on the passenger side. The deluxe heater sits in the engine bay on the passenger side.

Re: heater cor for a 62
Napa or any of your local suppliers should have them in stock. Can also be bought from any of the catalog companies...LMC, Classic Parts of America, Brothers

Re: heater cor for a 62
Just bought a new heater core from LMC. (deluxe heater) The inlet/outlet tubes come UP instead of straight OUT like the original. Had to cut hole in top of my heater box to make it work. Not Happy.

Re: heater cor for a 62
I took my original Harrison Deluxe Heater core to our local radiator shop with a new core. Nobody make the reproduction core that has the heater control valve that bolts to the core. I checked over 30 suppliers when my last core blew. They took my original tanks off and fixed them to the new core. Looks and works great as new. The replacement core was around $45 from NAPA and the other work ran around $70 (not including rebuilding the valve). If you have a heater core with the valve that bolts to it, this is your best solution with no fab work to the box or instaling an aftermarket heater control valve.

Re: heater cor for a 62
Heres a pic of the deluxe heater control valave made by Ranco. They were used on some of the early 63's for sure...not sure of other years or if plant specific. But heres a pic for reference. The valve thats too the rigt of the copper tube as we see in the pic bolts to the core directly. You can see the cable operation on the left side.
