1968 stepside swb stripper
My buddy and I drove this home last night. I like it - then I don't, have big plans - then want to sell it. ...and it hasn't been a day yet!
I know it's difficult to be accurate with one picture but here goes. Factory 1968 SWB stepside protect-o-plate in glovebox purchased new by University of California - Davis 6 cyl with HEI runs good but could use tuning truck 4 spd factory 4.11 posi coil rear 30x9.5 Sport King tires decent tread One repaint in factory white with some bondo cab floor looks better than alot of em roof has a hole for what was maybe some flashing light glovebox looks like it has been damp and rust under windshield gasket but 'hopefully' fixable without welding. Door speakers radio hole is untouched exterior lights work dash lights dont cracked windshield it drives nice I already took the passenger mirror off. We're thinking; clean it up, lower it without spending any cash, and bolt on some stock steelies or 6 lug rallys.

I'd give $1500-2500 for it, maybe a little more all cleaned up good, but I'm a tight wad when it comes to buying something. The 4.11 posi is a good plus!
Shoot, I'd do like you said, the lowering & steelies, & just cruise! Then not sell it for less than around $3500-4500.

OK... How about now? WIW? I'm about ready to list it. Maybe Ebay, maybe CL?
5 lug disc swap 17x8 TTII with little 235/45 Linglong Chinese tires - rims are hammered - story is from girlfriend driving the truck they were on. put in a good windshield added stainless around glass and wings new carpet 3.42 rear all new front suspension hardware, tie rods, ball joints, etc new F&R brakes and master cylinder Added Power Steering redid the bed floor serape blanket seat cover cut front springs 6" lowering springs in the rear added chrome sport bumpers front and rear all the lights, gauges, locks, etc... work None of the sheet metal is great. In fact it's not worth restoring in my opinion but it's a fun driver. I'll post more pix later. My phone was stolen the other day and all my pix were on it.

I'll bet you'll be able to sell it to someone for 6-8k. I wouldn't personally pay that much but it's a swb, lowered with popular rims. If I were you I'd buy some decent used tires for those rims in a size more appropriate (more sidewall) for the truck...and ask 7-9k then...

Re: 1968 stepside swb stripper
Made a deal with the first guy that showed up for $4k. I may have gotten more if I held out but I'm happy with that and the guy liked it for what it was.
