New to the site , Can I Lower a 60 Apache 20 ??

Hello Gents , Great site!!! I just got an Apache 20 and im wondering if i can lower this thing because i know its an 8 lug and wondering if im going to come across a bunch of problems ..... I'm a newbie!!

The quick answer is yes you can lower it. The number of lugs you have doesn't matter.

The long answer is if you want to use aftermarket stuff like drop spindles or convert to disc brakes then you may have to convert to 5 lug, or at least 6. But if you're going to convert might as well go to 5.

So can I convert it to a 73-87 1/2 ton suspension even though its a 3/4 ton ? And will it bolt on or is a bunch of fab involved ? Thnx for reply !!

Most the places I just googled offer a drop spindle for C10/C20 and state heavy duty disc rotors (1.25in thick) from a 1/2 ton a required.

I don't have and answer for whether or not a 1/2 ton suspension will just bolt in. Maybe someone with more experience in can chime in on that.

How much do you want to lower it?

Haha ok thanks for the.response. I probably wanna go about 4 " front and 5" back . So I'm wondering if I can run this with the stock drum brakes .
