no i haven't got to tinker with it this weekend been to busy but between me and my dad we think it must just be a ground wire i haven't decided what to do with it tho ill probably just ground it else were because where ever it was in the distributor is unreachable and worse comes to worse it ran without it before lol

Re: 1960 GMC K1000 4x4

so my dad needed the garage this weekend so we pushed the gmc out in the drive way but we pushed it like way back past the cement into the gravel and before bed last night i thought i better get that in the drive way i don't want anyone messing with it so i go jump in it and just push in the clutch to roll forward its a pretty good slope so i get rolled and go to hit the brakes they just slam to the floor im like noooo try pumping them there just gone headed right for the garage door half open lol ended up letting the clutch out and letting her skid to a halt my old man would of killed me i already lost the breaks in the 64 and bashed into the side of the garage trashing the siding...

Re: 1960 GMC K1000 4x4

That is funny, I wiped out my bottom 2 door panels in my garage from the inside when I started a T.bird I was working on and got out to open the door and caught the shifter and jumped into reverse, not cool, but kind of funny, even at the time. Good thing you saved it.

Re: 1960 GMC K1000 4x4

Yeah those "Oh Sh!t" moments will either leave a mark, or make a pretty funny memory...
I remember being pretty sure of myself one day, and caved in the side of his truck.... My dad just looked at the damage and asked me "Still think you are right about this one?"

Good thing you didnt plow thru the garage door.
Would have made a long night.... LoL

Re: 1960 GMC K1000 4x4

I was thinking of you yesterday as I was painting the ceiling of my cab.
If I had it off the frame and could tilt it, or if I could rig some sort of pallet to lie on in there, I would totally detail my ceiling like you did on your first build !!

But anyways....
Where did you get your headlight relays at?
and what is that octopus of red wires grouned to your frame in the second and third pics?

the relays are from napa and the octopus is the grounds for the relays trying to remember why theres 4 should only be one for each relay

So just go into the store and ask for head light relays? You know they are going to ask what make, model, year, and if it has AC....

Suprised you did not fan splice your relay grounds into one wire.
