Re: 5.3 swap help

Hey, another Arkansan wanting to due a 5.3 swap, How bout that! Check out my build thread. 2005 5.3/4L60E. I'll try and help as much as can, but working Nightshift 72 hours right now. Also check out LS1Tech.com. Quite a bit of info there and in the LS section of engines andn drivetrains on here. Good luck, its well worth it. Also check out a Craigslist posting on my posts for a 5.3 in Arkansas for sale, not mine. Good luck Jim

Re: 5.3 swap help

Just did this swap. If you've got questions feel free to ask me.
-Didn't have anyone to guide me through it, had to learn everything the hard way on my own, I know how it feels to be clueless about it all, I'll do my best to help.

Re: 5.3 swap help

I made my own adapter plates and just used the stock motor mounts. And it's the same 5.3 engine, just bored it and used all LS1 parts. I'm probably pushing around 400hp at the wheels now.
