Wilwood Master Cylinder

Will a Wilwood manual master cylinder for a disk/drum brake system bolt up to the firewall in place of the factory MC without any modifications? I see a lot of people using them, but I don't see any pics or comments suggesting they had to do anything special to install them. Thanks!

Edit: I have a 1967 truck that has been converted to 5 lug, disk/drum using 71-72 suspension. I currently have no hydrualic brake components at all, aside from wheel cylinders and calipers. No lines, valves, MC, etc.

I had to improvise the rod between the pedal and master cylinder, but other than that it bolts right up.

I used a threaded tube, threaded onto the master cylinder pushrod, and a heim joint at the other end of the tube and bolted to the pedal. I'm not sure what everybody else is doing.

You just used the bottom two studs on the firewall for install? What did you use for a prop valve? Factory on the factory bracket with custom lines from the MC to valve?

Yep.

I didn't use a proportioning valve. I tried to stagger the piston area in my calipers so I wouldn't need one. I wouldn't really recommend doing it that way. Most guys just run an aftermarket valve in the line to the rear brakes. And I may end up doing it that way myself depending on the braking performance I get once I finally get it on the road.
