63 from across the pond

My 63 from seattle has finally turned up in the UK
slightly worse than i thought but still a cheap truck

landed in the uk it owes me £2900

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=1&theater

wings and door bottoms are the worst bit and the grill is a bit buggered
shame i didnt know as i was in LA and could of got some bits and shipped them

full air kit in a dodge panel on its way over now so hopefully around christmas time i can get the truck bagged

Welcome to the forum

That's too bad that your truck is worse than you thought it was. It is unfortunate that most sellers are not forthcoming with the real condition of what they are selling.

Posting your pic for ya for future reference. What parts do you need to get it on the road?

Re: 63 from across the pond

Cheers aero don't really need
Mutch to get it on the road it depends
On me keeping it and doing it properly or just
Running it as it is, I own a body shop so it's
Not to major,
Wheel studs are far to short (summit racing )
Wing bottoms (fender to you boys )
Doors are shot inside out
Bed isn't attached
Headlight siliconed in ?

Electrics iffy

Not much really might order a
Few bits tonight

Re: 63 from across the pond

Hi Col, welcome to the board from another English Newbie.

Where in the UK are you situated?

You seem to have landed the truck for a decent price. We are looking at importing one at the moment as well.

Have you MOT'd it yet ?

Cheers,

Rian in Rochester, Kent.

Re: 63 from across the pond

Depending on how wide of a rear tire you plan on running you can fun the exhaust on the outside of the frame over the rear end I have seen plenty of threads with the truck laying the frame run it that way.

Loving this. Hi from another brit, new owner of a 66 shortbed stepside on bags.

Just got to sort paper work and get it registered over here and then drive the wheels of it!

Keep us updated as this looks awesome!
