Re: My Efi tank solution
The ls1 pump assembly has a built in fuel regulator for a returnless fuel system. I removed it since my system had a return and used a basic 3/8 to 3/8 10$ fuel filter.

Re: My Efi tank solution
Check to see what pressure that ls1 pump puts out, for the Lsx, you need 58psi at the rails

Re: My Efi tank solution
my external setup has worked fine...but if/when it fails I've thought about doing something like this.

Re: My Efi tank solution
My truck has a fuel regulator on the fuel rails. That's why I removed the fpr in the pump.

Re: My Efi tank solution
So you have a return style fuel rail? if so how do you have your fuel lines set up?

Re: My Efi tank solution
Yes, I have a return from the fuel rail. I just run the return to the pump return. Pump feed to a cheap filter to the intake feed.

Re: My Efi tank solution
Dorman 800-075 that will be the feed 3/8 line
Dorman 800-074 5/16 return line Dorman 800-075 5/16 fuel fittings Dorman 800-082 3/8 Fuel Line Fitting Motorcraft FG1083 Fuel Filter 3/8 push connect ( may be wrong its been awhile) also this is only a filter. it does not regulate fuel pressure Spectra Premium TR7 Fuel Tank Lock Ring Total is about 60$ so not bad for the parts listed above. The fuel system will cause the most headaches in a LS swap. Either spend big bucks for a aftermarket setup or piece together a OEM setup in my opinion. Anything else can be a gamble. I have had every external fuel pump fail. Not worth it. Every customer has had their external pumps fail within 6 months. I know some others have had better luck but it is not worth the headache and stress. If you need a regulator for a none return system get this WIX Filters - 33737 New AC delco Pump https://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-Assem...1%2C3937584011 Last edited by vannatta20; 11-24-2017 at 12:14 AM. |

Re: My Efi tank solution
I don't have a pic but we just drilled and tapped the tank for small screws to hold the lock ring tight. The aluminum is thick enough. If it is stainless steel then that wont work.
