My $200 buy of the year

So she's an 84 with a deisel 6.2 I assume but got it for $200 the engine runs from what I'm told but the main filter was taken out to be replaced and never put back and is missing the battery or batteries? The trans is blown but all else seems good.

Right now the plan is to sell the diesel and convert it to gas. My freind has a longbed truck and we are going to switch running gear so he has a 4wd truck after. So a lot of work is going to be done ESP in the freezing cold.

My freind has a 283sbc and a 305 that I will Prob be using with an overdrive
Hopefully a nice Daily driver will come out of it

JMHO, but fix the diesel. It's nice to have one square you only have to fill up once every month or four.

I was thinking about it but I'm really not comfy with a high mileage diesel as my daily. Someday when I have some more cash I will Prob mess around with one but I'm going to sell it for a couple hundert on my local Craigslist

Has anybody welded a LATCH system for carseats in any of thier trucks? Was thinking if making one for the rear for my kid as carseat.

Re: My $200 buy of the year

Really well that would work great since it hasn't a rear seat. That's 2003 up right? LATCH was mandatory after then right?

I guess. They are not in my 99 crew cab.

But the mini van seat is about the right width and hight as a blazer.

Re: My $200 buy of the year

Yah! Three kings man. My red one will be the weekend warrior and the stepper will be a rat rod with good road manners and will take the daily grunt that my red truck does as daily driver and will drift haha redhead steering adjusted the steering stops for me so I have some angle on the wheels and that sm465 with the vortec 350 will kill tires . The k5 is my family car to just drive and get some decent mpg and carry parts and do trips in.
