What Bed is this? Interesting idea...

Any good guess what year and model bed this is. I am not sayin I am ready to swap mine out, but it does line up nicely...

1988-1998 Chevy Silverado. Looks like its been modified some... fuel door. lower front step, shaved rear step and molded rear tail panel ... here is a more original one...

PS: The bed is metal but the outer fenders are fiberglass.

That was a popular swap ten to fifteen years ago when a lot of guys wanted to have their old trucks look newer and different. It does make for a nice looking truck though.

71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

it's one of the better looking new bed swaps i've seen
usually they just transplant the bed and call it a day
he did a lot of fab work on that bed, i can appreciate the work he did

he did that for the same reason i did mine

I know a couple of guys with these beds on their trucks. The blue and silver trucks are owned by the same guy.





This is another local guys truck and I like his mod on the step. It flows better than the stock version in my opinion.
