Anyone ever put a newer style box on their square?
I'm talking a box from an 88 or newer.
Ever been done? Or would they all look terribly misplaced on the back of a square? |

People have put the step side beds on the squares but don't know that I have ever seen a fleetside on one.

I have a 8 foot box, it needs a large part of the rear passenger side quarter cut out and a new piece welded in (along with a small rust hole on each wheel well lip) Weighing my options between getting it repaired or replacing the whole box. |

it looks like crap, the right box is too easy to find to put an ugly new box on it!

Re: Anyone ever put a newer style box on their square?
So I just read in the archives that changing a bedside is pretty easy. I have a pick n pull very close to me and I say the chances of finding a good bedside is very high. The rest of the bos on my truck is pretty darn good and definitely worth keeping.
I just need to find out can you remove it without moving the bed back and apparently there's small tack welds at the end of the box you have to break/cut - well I won't have power tools with me so I have to find a way. |
