67 chevy truck/68 GMC
There are two local trucks. Both do not have motors or trans. I really just want the front clips, if there are no rust issues. The 67 chevy is a step side short bed with the tire mount on the drivers side. The GMC is a long bed with all the trim and is said to be rust free.
The chevy, they want 2000 for but questionable sheetmetal. The GMC they want 2500 with rust free sheetmetal (so they say). I was thinking of offering $500, because all I want is the front clip. What do you guys think?

Re: 67 chevy truck/68 GMC
A truck with rust free body is worth $2,500. Never hurts to ask for a "little" less. I'd want (if selling) or pay (if buying) at least $500 for a rust free '67 GMC front clip

Re: 67 chevy truck/68 GMC
The rust free truck sold yesterday. I only wanted the front clip off of it and the drivers side bed was all dented.. So at that point thats what I was going to start at.
If someone wants to be insulted by my starting price when you state O.B.O., So be it, no skin off my nose. I've had plenty of people low ball me and if I can't do it I say so politely.

Re: 67 chevy truck/68 GMC
Asking 80% off would be an insult to most anyone. If it was me I'd just laugh as if I figured they were kidding. It's up to you,but I would never go there. If I think something is worth that much less than the asking price I don't even want to deal with that person.

Re: 67 chevy truck/68 GMC
Well, both trucks sold without me even mentioning an offer, so I guess I don't have to expose my inner cheap bastard.
Thanks for the advice guys.
