Clutch Fork Return Spring - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Does anyone have some info on how this thing works? I just bought one from LMC. The spring end has a hook. I think it attaches inside the frame rail. The other end is straight! Do I have to bend that end? And where does it attach? Anybody got a picture of this thing in place? Thanks in advance for your help.

You have to bend the straight end.
I hooked the spring into the fork, held it in position, then marked the straight end 2 inches rearward of a perfect hole in the frame. Took it off, bent it, then put the (formerly) straight end into the frame hole, secured it by bending in a way that it won't come out of the frame hole, then grabbed the spring end with pliers and hooked into the fork. Done deal, no problems
