Top of carb broke for stud. FIX?

My 230 has a single barrel rochester carb and the bracket that holds the stud is fine but the carb is broke out where it sets into. Does anyone have a fix for this? If so, what did you do?

I agree. I'm a JB Weld enthusiast but don't think you'd want to try a repair with any kind of epoxy. Someone that knew what they were doing might be able to solder or braze a repair, but if anything chipped or cracked it would be ingested and at least mess up the carb, if not the engine.

Question Re: Top of carb broke for stud. FIX?

I cannot picture the broken part; but can you go 90-degrees and drill new mounting holes for the bracket?

Re: Top of carb broke for stud. FIX?

Ive encountered this several times over the last 20 years. Ive never found any solution to this other than replacing the top of the carb. Tried several different epoxy's when I was younger (which I wouldn't do now as it could fall down the carb if it broke off).
