Oil pressure light inop?

On my 63 C10 with the 230, 6 cylinder when I turn on the key my oil pressure light won't come on. I took the bulb out to see if it was blown and it was good. Also grounded the wire going to the switch in the blosk and still won't come on. Any thoughts?

What happens if you ground the switch wire directly to neg post on the battery? If still no light, you'll know you have a ground issue between dash and battery, along the route it takes.
