Auxillary Battery Option 1TP2
Anyone out there have the factory auxillary battery setup working in the Blazer or F.S. Truck. The option code is 1TP2.
I have a schematic in the back of my service manual. I have a relatively small gauge wire red, coming from a switch on the firewall. The wire from the switch goes to the starter. I have the factory aux battery tray. I assume to hook it up I'd run a wire to ground and connect the red wire to battery positive. I assume my alternator will charge both batteries. The aux battery can be used for winch(need $$'s) and trail lights. I got a new bumper being built by Kennesaw Mountain Accessories with grill guard, brush guard and recessed Pro comps, so a winch is in my future. Appreciate your comments and/or pics Tim

Tim, I have some pictures from a member here who has a Blazer Chalet. I'll forward the email he sent me to you. I'm hooking up an auxiliary battery set up in my Blazer (not originallyl optioned) so I'm also interested in any data that will be helpful on this subject.
PM me with your email address so I can forward what I have. Thanks, Greg.
