You should have the option to use or not use the tranny control. The tech told me it would be a firmware update so you should be able to out on what you want. I'm in the same boat with my other vehicle getting an LS motor. It's a Jeep with a built 700r4 and Atlas transfer case. There is nothing electronic to control.
