327 was first offered as a regular option on 3/4 pickups in mid '65. 327 was first offered as a regular option in 1/2 tons in 1966. T 400 first offered as a regular option in 1966 on 3/4 ton pickups. Powerglide was the only regular option automatic on 1/2 tons in 1966.

It didn't sound like a 2 stroke, but it had a power band that would come on like a 2-stroke does. It would pull from 3000 to 7000 in nothing flat, and it would probably have climbed even higher but I didn't want to hurt it. It had an M-21 and a 12-bolt with 4.10s, and it was a blast to drive.
