Crossmember?

Is there any where that sells the rear most frame crossmember? I am putting a fuel cell in the rear of my frame and my crossmember is bent and in the way. I would like to remove it and put it in the rear set of holes. It is a 85 long bed. I looked at lmc and did not find anything. Thanks.

Re: Crossmember?

I have got the cell already. I have seen that tank but could not bring my self to spend 500 on a tank. I am sure it is a real nice tank but way more then i wanted to spend. I wonder if they will sell the crossmember.....

Re: Crossmember?

Ya that is a pic of the 67-72 one. I am needing a pic of the 73-87 one. I am wondering what set of holes it is using and if my plans will work or not. Thanks for the pic tho. I really cant wait tell the 73-87 trucks get as much aftermarket support as the 67-72.

Re: Crossmember?

Does this help at all?

The bent-sheet-metal crossmember uses the holes by my pointy finger. Well, where I put the crossmember after shortening the frame.

Re: Crossmember?

Can you not just put the cell past the rear axles?

Re: Crossmember?

I could but it is a long bed. That would make the filler really far forward. I hope to look over it today and pick a spot. Thanks for the pics.
