64-66 deluxe heater question

I need the size of the screws that hold the top on the under hood part ( there are 3 parts to it and I have misplaced the screws and need the size.

Any help is much appreciated.

Re: 64-66 deluxe heater question

The fasteners for the lid are a #8 screw, hex head with flange, total length is .5" measured from edge to edge. The screw fits in my bolt gauge as a #8, not sure if GM called it by it's fractional equivalent.

I just went through this a few weeks ago when I restored my heater box. GM liked to use that exact screw on a lot of other stuff as well, so you may be able to rob some off a spare/scrap part if you have to.
