Brake Question - Please help
Someone installed a trailer brake in my Blazer. There is a fitting between the master cylinder and the proportion valve. I plan to remove the trailer brake and that fitting. Can anyone tell by looking at the picture if the brake lines were modified to accommodate the fitting in between? Thanks for your help.

Re: Brake Question - Please help
I have a 71 not a 72 so I do not know if model year changes were made. That being said, the rear line from the MC to the valve looks different from mine and my valve is mounted at an angle.
Here is a picture of mine

Re: Brake Question - Please help
You're doing the right thing. Just remove the brass block and screw your brake line back in. You'll probably need a new flare fitting in the M Cylinder (available at most auto parts stores) to accept the brake line. Those were hydraulic activated brake controls that we're the norm 30 years ago. The new, electronic ones are the way to go now.

Thanks for the picture. I was able to reposition the valve, probably like it was before the fitting was put in line, and the existing line screwed right in.

Tell me about that upper radiator hose setup. Mine is like that. Was that the original configuration?
