Re: 1985 chevy lift kits
If they put in the drop arm, they should have taken the time to center the steering wheel.I hope these guys didn't soak you too bad on the install,I would go over your U bolts and any other nuts & bolts they had off or replaced and re torque then after a 100 miles or so...They should have fixed that vibration before it even left the shop...

Re: 1985 chevy lift kits
Clean truck!!! It looks like the the dropped ain't quite enough, the draglink should be parallel with the ground, looks like yours is higher at the pitman arm. Maybe it will level out as the springs settle. Also, forgot you got a shackle flip, the points the pinion towards the case, so shouldn't be the problem. Are the u-joints in good shape?? How bad is the vibe? When does it do it? Could be just a simple joint replacement....

Re: 1985 chevy lift kits
Just when I lay into the gas it feels slight vibe. Ujoints will be cheap easy fix it that's the case. I still have to go get the front end corrected. Just haven't had time because of work

Re: 1985 chevy lift kits
i could definately see 35's on rallyes rubbing with a 4" lift under extreme flex. heres my 85 on 33s and my 80 crew with 37s. no lift but some trimming, the 1 ton has a lot, including inner fender work.

Re: 1985 chevy lift kits
forgot to attach the 1 ton pic, the rusted out fender sits perfect when the truck is level lol that crew cab frame has a ton of flex lol

Re: 1985 chevy lift kits
So the tire guy is 95 percent sure 35s will fit on a 16 inch rim that I picked.. he said worse case scenario we put them on they don't fit I can just get a 33 I ended up liking the toyo open country mud tire.

Re: 1985 chevy lift kits
if you stay with a narrow rim with stockish offset it might fit....
