Which year is better?
In the spring I want to get a Blazer in the 67-72 ranges but don’t know much about them. Is one year better than another? Is there something specific I should remember to look for? I have a couple of good local sources about the 4X4 parts, but I know there are hands on experts here.

any year you can find in good shape, they all are pretty much the same. I like 72 because they have disk brakes standard.

No Blazer until 69 but the 71-72 will have disc brakes, they made an improvement to the doors in 72 giving them some more reenforcement around the wing window base. 71-72 double wall hardtops had an extra support near the rear tailgate that runs from the top down to the bedside. Seems to help and wasn't on my 70. That's all I can think of

I like the jimmy frount grill the best and If I had a blazer I would
put a 68 frount clip on it. |

'71. You get disc brakes and pwr steering but don't have that stupid glued to the windshield rearview mirror.

I think disc brakes are a very good thing, so I like the 71-72 Blazers. If you like the looks of the 69-70, you can always convert to discs or change out the clip, (if you want to make a 71-72 look like a 69-70).
I prefer the NP 205 transfer case so I would want that in the Blazer, also. Jim |

Thanks Gang! Sorry I didn't realize there wasn't a 68. I'll be looking for a 71 or 72 and I'm sure I'll be back
