Hard to find them this nice anymore...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1984-...item1e7c860390

I don't care much for the 454 but the truck looks fantastic in and out.

0 bids, reserve not met.
Was a 454 an option in in a 1/2 ton in 1984; didn't think they were?

454 was never an option in a K5 that I know of. I'm sure if I said "it was never an option" somebody would pop up with some obscure print showing an option...

Re: Hard to find them this nice anymore...

I think you could get a 400 in the late 70's, but I do not believe a 454 was ever an option in a K5. They made Suburbans with 454, but I doubt they ever put them in a 1/2 ton.

I think the only 1/2 ton I can think of with a 454 would be that late 80's early 90's 454SS.

Re: Hard to find them this nice anymore...

The eBay ad is for a Suburban.
Aside from that, I know there was some 1/2 trucks, including swb's, that came stock with 454's in the mid-70's, but I didn't think that was an option at all in the 80's?

It is a nice, clean looking Suburban.
I wouldn't argue the miles, but just curious about the engine?
