Window Track/Guide

The window track/guide or whatever you call it on my 73 Blazer is broken. It's the passenger side and on the latch side. I didn't see a replacement on LMC. I am going to try a junkyard, but wanted to know if that track changes through the year models.

Thanks

Re: Window Track/Guide

I think this is the part you are talking about. This is from a pickup and it fits all the 73-87s...but you have a 73 blazer, so I think you may only be able to use one from a 73-75 blazer.

or....maybe grab one of these from the junkyard and modify it. they are the same for all the other 73-87 pickups, 73-91 Suburbans, and 76-91 Blazer/Jimmy

Hope this helps.

Re: Window Track/Guide

Dude! Thanks, that is what I am looking for. I didn't realize there was a possibility of welding it. I unbolted it today so I could get the window back on track and rolled up.

I will pull it out soon and check about welding it.

yup, the brackets are just spot welded to the track, and I have seen a couple over the years pop off, so I think it is fixable.

Re: Window Track/Guide

It's not broken off the bracket. The track itself is broken below the bracket.
