Anybody know of a company that sells a new rear bumper cheap with no chrome? Need one for a 66 and I also need bumper brackets, thanks.

Re: Buying new raw rear bumper

Many of the companies that advertise here have plain steel rear bumpers for about $100.

Re: Buying new raw rear bumper

I bought my bare steel rear bumper from Chevy Duty (Classic Parts) a number of years ago. It would be worth a call to find out if they still carry the unplated version.

Just be careful not to overtighten any of these aftermarket bumpers. They are no where near as thick and heavy as originals and will dimple the bolt holes easily.

And welcome to the forum!

I just received and installed one yesterday. $99 PLUS shipping, etc.
Seems to be a decent enough piece. Black primered. Certainly met my expectation.
