WTB 1973 GMC Jimmy builder

I am looking for a 73 GMC Jimmy 2 or 4wd. GMCs only. Not looking for a restored truck but a project. It doesn't need to be complete. Looking for one in AZ, SoCal, Vegas area or anywhere in the 4 corners. If you have one or have seen one sitting I would appreciate the heads up. Found a rusty one that isn't currently for sale but may ask the owner anyway.

I found a 73 Jimmy today at the wrecking yard. This would have been a good builder for you. What a shame to see this one get chopped up.

Seems like a good runner, but still a project.

Re: WTB 1973 GMC Jimmy builder

Thanks for keeping your eyes open for one of these for me! I found one here locally CHEAP but it was ROUGH! It has 1/4 or so of body filler on every panel except the front clip and below that was rust repairs.

Not a Jimmy, but it tickled me as it seemed to be a fairly unmolested truck.

I do like that truck. I am still watching for a Jimmy. I have put the word out around here. There is one here locally but it is ROUGH!! It is $1200 and has no motor or transmission and looks to have body filler in every panel. I am pretty picky and looking for an original paint vehicle. The condition isn't as important as original paint. You never know what is hiding under a rattle can paint job. I can fix almost anything body wise given enough time but still the better I start out with the better off I will be. I know these trucks are prone to rust and I am expecting that. I appreciate you keeping your eyes open!
