Hood/cowl hinge pads
Does anyone know where to get these rubber/foam pads located at the bottom of the hinges on the cowl? Also, what is the foam pad between the fender and the cowl in the second pic? Is this part available also? GM part numbers would help. It looks like the part numbers have been superceded more than once. Thanks.

Can you tell me the LMC part number? I don't see them in the catalog. Thanks.

Re: Hood/cowl hinge pads
OK. I see the parts in the online catalog now. They were not in my latest paper catalog from LMC.
Does anybody know about that foam cushion between the fender and the A pillar/cowl area? Is it an anti-squeak device or is it a water seal? This is the second pic in my original post. Thanks. |

Re: Hood/cowl hinge pads
part number? I dont see it.
Also there was a rubber pad about an inch thick and 3 inches long glued on the bottom of the cowl on both sides. I dont see that anywhere. I cant wrap my brain around your picture. can you take one from farther away. |

Re: Hood/cowl hinge pads
that foam is there to absorb water and cause a nice rust spot, most GM cars have them in and around the a pillars. I always remove those. Sure they are probably for some kind of noise or rattle issue but I'd rather have a rattle then rust
