Steel Factory Rim Dates

Can anyone tell me where the dates, and or date codes are located on the factory steel wheels? I have found the letters GM stamped in the very center lug nut area. And also found 2 letters stamped in the same area. Would these two letters signify a date code?

I could be wrong, and I have no image to show you, but I think the date is stamped INSIDE the wheel. Inside, as in, you cant see it when a tire is mounted.

OEM is correct , generally rim dates from 1967 and older wheels are between the beads of the rim where the manufacturer stamp and wheel size is. The date will be very small and be just a 63 64 or like 66. 1968 and up they started stamping the day month by the valve stem. Because a 1966 model year truck was being built in 1965 for the first half of their production you will find a 1965 dated rim on a 1966 truck as an example.

Thanks to all that have replied. I have to get the tires dismounted from the rims next week and then I'll be able to take a look. The knowledge on this site is incredible.
