Re: 1 ton rat rod project
Let us know when she finds out...should be interesting, I know it sure is around my house when I give her the old so guess what I bought, usually doesn't go very well, but still alive so far. Maybe she will think it's cool, get lots done they usually like it better closer to done.

Re: 1 ton rat rod project
K guys been a while since I posted any updates. It's been I whirlwind I am about to make a job move jus waiting on the call so I've been in a hurry so I don't have to haul her from the shop in pieces lol. So pics have been low on the to do list sorry. Anyways, got the motor back in and it gave some fits but after a new exhaust valve, intake gasket, head gasket, and electric fan she purs like a kitten. I have got a 8 gallon tank mounted in the rear with all half inch lines and extreme valves. Currently working on mounting a york 210 engine driven compressor but with this 305 there are no brackets available so I'm still fabbing. Broke the widow maker two piece wheels down for a good sanding and paint. Got the boat anchor for a bed on and cut the holes for the tires to clear on decent lol. So that's about where I'm at ill come back with more updates!

Looking great!!
Not sure if it is just the angle of the pics, but it looks like the cab leans back, and the bed slopes forward... |

Re: 1 ton rat rod project
Bed slopes forward because the stop was removed it is a dump bed. Nothing a new stop can't fix

Re: 1 ton rat rod project
Nice work, sits low, almost looks like a 1/2 ton, except the wheels, waiting for more.

Re: 1 ton rat rod project
i also like the red wheels , just keep working on it i know with my flat bed if i just try to get a little done when i am able and i feel good about it , and when i drive it IT's all worth the time and the pain.
