Its a fun event, but its really more about the racing and the Optima Street Car challenge. The car show portion is usually a bit small for a 3day event. Saturday is the main racing, awards are given sunday evening.

Yea, I would mainly go to run in the auto-x. I wouldn't be very competitive at this point, so it would just be for fun. It's quite a bit of money to spend for just one day. I would like to wait till I can go for the whole weekend.

I'm going, but unsure if I'm taking my truck. Its getting paint this weekend and then I have to get everything back together in 4 evenings might be tough.

I finished mine at like 12:07 the night before I left for ls fest when I went...

1. I learned that drinking coffee instead of beer in the garage makes you more productive, but you still pee just as much.

2. The judges for the car show were from Indiana.....so don't directly insult Indiana...like I mighta kinda did. I still got the plaque but I'm pretty sure it didn't help.

Made to LS Fest with no issues. Not many trucks here but lots of cars. Met a lot of 67-72 fans and builders. If any members are here come by and talk tomorrow.

If you see the LS3 swapped AMX javelin let me know, my friend (and ls fest show producer) Jimi Day owns in. Its super unique but gets hated on by the AMC community for its power plant.

Ill look for it tomorrow. Seen lots of cross swaps foxbody,Nissan,Hondas, Toyota etc. You were right about the show portion, it's more about drag racing, auto-cross and drifting. Still a great event though. I think the spectators would like to see more show/shine and swaps. Had lots of people asking about the swap.

I've told them that for the last three years. The fact is that since its a stop on the challenge, most of the money it generates comes from the racing entry.

I wish it had more "spectacle" like going to the Car craft shows, where it feels like the whole place (even the town its in/near) gets lit up for the event.
