I think the previous owner decided to protect that nice seat with the ugly cover awfully nice of them

Re: removed ugly vinyl seat cover to find this!

Yea the owner saved it. My seat is the same way. It's vinyl not cloth but it's just as perfect since the original owner had a cover on it. I'm not sure what cover I intend to put on it.

Re: removed ugly vinyl seat cover to find this!

My GF had an aunt that used the old clear plastic covers on all the chairs, couches, etc. in the house. Some of her old stuff was butt ugly but the fabric was perfect.
Just had to make sure you didn't wear shorts to her house in the heat...

Re: removed ugly vinyl seat cover to find this!

At least your crazy previous owner is leaving you presents instead of hidden gremlins that try to kill you like mine did. Nothing like running a stop sign due to rigged up brakes that make you appreciate the finer things in life... like free perfect condition hidden seats!!!

Re: removed ugly vinyl seat cover to find this!

More than likely done to move it when it was new by some Sales Manager..... Had a deal except for the "vinyl" seat..... dealer probably dropped 50 bucks to close the deal.

Your probably right, cloth was not well thought of back then for serious off-roaders

Nylon had yet to prove itself
