Re: Backup lights, beepers, camera, etc

i figure for $6.50 shipped on ebay, i'd buy a set to see.
9w led is a lot brighter than trying to use my brake lights to back up
maybe my limo tint rear window is the problem

I do like how well it works.

Hey Youngrodder:

Are those license plate bolts illuminated? It looks like you mounted them on the bottom of the plate shining up, if I am seeing things right. If so, how do they work, and are they ok shining up if that is the way they are mounted?

Re: Backup lights, beepers, camera, etc

It wont be that bad to clean the shop. I'll put the kids to work...will only take a month or two

JK, hour or two and it's way over due anyway, getting hard to move stuff around without being paranoid that I'll ding up the fresh paint

Good eye. Yes when I added the the back up camera I had to change my plate to a flip down and I had to re-do my licenes plate light as I had one mounted where the camera is now.

The lights are inexspensive ($20 off EBay I think) and are SS. They work great. There is a single LED bulb and they throw off more than enough light. If you like I can get a pic in the dark.

Thanks
Marc

Well, I took this one from inside the box. the door is about 6' away from the back, drill is just for scale since everything in the background is white, shop lights off/ pitch black and no flash on the camera

For their size they are very bright,
I imagine the 9W ones that someone posted would be 2-3x brighter but I think these are fine for reverse lights

Wow, thanks for the pic, they throw out much more light that I thought. Now I need to rethink the way I was going!

Re: Backup lights, beepers, camera, etc

Just checked my eBay account they were $6.99 for a pair with free shipping from Hong Kong. I wasn't so sure about them when I ordered them but thought if they sucked I would just use them as curtisy lights for under the dash.

Here are the pics that I promised. This was taken with no flash and no garage lights on.

These little bolt lights give off a fair amount of light.
