Costom Steering Wheel

Is is possible that my 66 C10 was shipped from the factory with a custom steering wheel for a 65 C10??

No, I do not feel the steering wheel was added. Although it is the 65 deluxe wheel. See attached picture of the build sheet.

Deluxe Steering Wheel was part of the Z62 Custom Appearance Group. We've seen parts carried over from one year to another and you'll have a early and late production series.

Paint 540, two tone, Turquoise Poly and Ivory-Off White.

I went to the forum post: Attn 66 owners looking for the 1st and last 66 built and gave him my Vin# and he told me the month it was built.

I think it's been added later, my December '65 had the '66 style wheel. Your's being a few months later should have definitely had a '66 wheel. The added tach that isn't original tells me that the truck has some parts that aren't factory installed.

I figured the tach was added as it is a Sun tach with a transmitter. I am just glad that it still works. Thanks for you input.
