Rear sway bar on a bagged truck?????

I searched for some pic's in the bagged thread and can't seem to see anyone successfully running a rear sway bar with their bagged truck? Anyone seen or heard of someone trying? After installing the bar last night, I can see some upcoming issues with link length and suspension cycle with this set up. I am sure a Currie Anti Rock bar would work, but trying to repurpose the Firebird bar.
Thanks

Re: Rear sway bar on a bagged truck?????

Hey Anthony, sorry...that's a pic of a pan hard bar or trac bar that centers the rear axle under the truck. When lowering or raising them beyond 2", you need a longer/shorter or adjustable one. I am looking for a suspension sway ( stock style not the torsion-in-tube-adjustable ends style) bar pic with a bagged set up or info pertaining to the obstacles to overcome with end link issues and placement of the base's on the tube for full suspension articulation or cycle. Thanks for posting the pic of your trac bar--it's a beefy mount at the diff end!

Was a guy a while back who used a Camaro sway bar w/no mods and seemed to fit pretty good. I can't remember the members name or thread though.

I installed one last night from an 87 Firebird, same deal as the Camaro bar. I'm just concerned now after mounting it that there will be a ton of binding going on.

On a static truck it works killer! With the 5-7 inches of movement up/down on a bagged truck I foresee an issue but have no real time experience.

Re: Rear sway bar on a bagged truck?????

I was talking to someone the other day that was telling me of a way to set up a sway bar that only attaches to the two trailing arms and has no end links. The bar would attach at the 4 usual points on the bar directly to the trailing arms. Essentially making the trailing arms work off each other and not the frame the allowing you to attach air bags with out worrying about the end links binding. I think he said it was something they used to use in NASCAR. I can try to draw a picture if this does not make sense.

You may be referring to this type of bar that I am trying to avoid. I was hoping someone had been able to use a GM rear F body bar with a bag system
