Headers into Single exhaust, lets see your setup

Like the title says I want to go from my headers and y pipe into a single 2 1/2 exhaust exiting behind the rear wheel I found a stock 2 1/2 tailpipe for a 87 3/4 ton, just need some y pipe ideas.

I had a muffler shop build my 2 into 1 exhaust off the stock Y pipe, from the Y pipe I went 3" single into a 3" Magnaflow cat into a Flow 40 series 3" single inlet to a dual 2.5 outlet muffler dumped in front of the axle, Love it, cruising the parking lots it will set off alarms

yea my **** now has a set of **** ass flowcrappers and 2 1/4 dualsa, I'm old and its just too much racket, sounds like a dumptruck with no muffler, I have headers I'd like to keep, just need to quiet my **** down.

Like they say, If it's too loud your too old!!! JK! Hey i'm 60 yrs young and I love my Flows, Turbo's would be a good choice over the Flows, nice and mellow

yea thats what I'm putting on is a nice 2 1/2 inch thrush turbo muffler, I hate loud exhaust, I like no not draw any more attention than necessary. Also I'm having to build my own cause i can't find a exhaust shop in town that will touch my ****.. guess they don't need money.

This Y pipe from Summit might work for you.

I just got my magnaflow y-pipe from summit and I am impressed with the quality. I also bought the fully welded summit muffler but I am going to return it, it looks a little cheap. I want a magnaflow 3" in 3" out. Anyone have pics of there y-pipe set up?

This is a thread that confuses me. Why would you run headers and then use a 2-1 one system? The point of headers is to create flow from the motor and by going to a 2-1 you hurt that.

If anything you would be better off running a H or X pipe

It depends on how it's built, we ran 2 into 1 on our stockcar on purpose.

Dual 2 1/2" mandrel bent bends into a 3 1/2" single with a Dynomax straight-thru shorty muffler. Driver's side pipe length from the 'Vette Ramhorn manifold exit to the Y-pipe measured 9 1/2" long, used 1 - 4' section of 3 1/2" pipe total.

No resrtiction , mostly just a giant collector. We were required to use cast iron manifolds.
