pros/cons of shock extenders
Installing flip kit, what are the pros/cons of using shock extenders. The way I see the extenders keep you from having to buy new shocks, any down side to this other then maybe just looks?

Re: pros/cons of shock extenders
They do hang down some, but that is a minor annoyance to me. I have used them on the couple trucks that I have had that are lowered.

Re: pros/cons of shock extenders
The "pros"are they allow your shock to function properly. The "cons" are you will hate your ride if you dont.

Shock extenders are a must with the axle flip.

Re: pros/cons of shock extenders
I probably didn't word it right. You can get shorter shocks and not use the extenders so I was wondering if either method is better then the other and why.

Re: pros/cons of shock extenders
I was removing the bump stop brackets, I hate removing factory rivets
So I decided to try my 120v Hobart plasma cutter, worked like a charm. Took about 15-20mins to blow the heads off then pry the bracket loose. Just don't use this method if you want to save the bracket.

Re: pros/cons of shock extenders
stock front shocks will fit after flipping the axle, on the pick ups anyway....
not sure on the blazers and burbs.

Re: pros/cons of shock extenders
Yes you can use shorter shocks, but your ride will be better with long shocks and extenders.
