Pro street 68 c10

I'm building a 68 swb with CCP suspension. 2/4 drop. The suspension is setup for a 71 for 5lug & disc brakes. I need help choosing wheel/tire combo and advice on getting power to the ground.

Re: Pro street 68 c10

We need details and pictures.

It would be like me saying "I want to paint my truck".

Is this going to be a real pro street truck with a back-half or just a stock type suspension? Tubs or stock? How much power, what from and what transmission and stock rearend or?

Are you drag racing mostly? Mostly street with that twice a year to the strip truck?

Re: Pro street 68 c10

I got the truck when i returned from afghanistan im wanting to build a truck I can drive a lil on the street but more for drag racing. It is stock type suspension and is not tubbed. I'm running a SBC 360 11:1 comp, world products sportsman 2 heads, .600/.630 solid roller cam and a 200 shot if I'm feeling nasty. I'm having a Th350 built. Cuz I blew the last one. The rear end is the original 12 bolt with Moser spool and motive ring & pinion.

Like any site, they have to be hosted somewhere on the internet already, (photobucket, pinterest etc) then you can link to them with the [img] tag

You can also upload them directly from your computer by clicking on the "Manage Attachments" button below the text box for your reply. Then click on "Browse", and choose the pics on your computer. You can only upload one pic at a time, but I believe you can still post up to 5 pics per post.

Re: Pro street 68 c10

As a former drag racer I would suggest to find some one who has a fast car and hang around and help them at the track. Make sure you know what you want to do with your truck and do it once, rebuilding it several times is a waste of money. If you want a 9 second truck build it that way. This is an expensive hobby make sure you know what you are getting involved with before you blow a bunch of cash.

Re: Pro street 68 c10

A fast street car is way more fun than a track car
