Camper Special: OEM Mirrors ???

My 1973 K20 has the Z83 Deluxe Camper Equip option.

The Service Parts Id does not list any mirror option.

The Chevrolet Trucks 1978 document shows Mirror Options, but does not list them as components of the Z83 Deluxe Camper Equip option.

If these mirrors are original equipment, I want to keep them even if I remove them from the vehicle.

But if they are aftermarket, I will probably dispose of them.

So are they OEM or aftermarket? Thanks in advance.

Re: Camper Special: OEM Mirrors ???

They look just like the mirrors that were OEM on my '70 Ford Camper Special. I believe they were called West Coast Mirrors

Re: Camper Special: OEM Mirrors ???

I've never seen those before on a GM. GM offered West Coast Sr mirrors, but not those. They had the full size mirror heads. The mirrors weren't part of the Camper Special option. If it shows no mirror option the truck would have had what I call car mirrors and most guys call sport mirrors these days (shown in pic). The mirror generally optioned for a Camper Special would have been the camper mirror, also used for trailering. They had the two long lower legs,a triangle hoop up top,and the mirror arm was tall and wide enough to turn and flip the mirror heads out for better visibility. A smaller camper might have ordered the below eyeline mirrors...a smaller version of the camper mirror-type but w/o the flip-outward feature
