overdrive blowing fuses
Just threw in a new 700r4 tranny and everytime I hit that overdrive, it blows my radio fuse an d shuts off my Dakota Digital gauges. Anyone care to take a shot at what's going on?

Ground short? Seems like they must have something in common.

Weird...Just guessing.. But could it be when it goes into lockup it blows the fuse??
I think it's a purple wire at the brake switch that provides 12v to the lockup solenoid. Disconnect it and see if it still blows the fuse. The converter won't lockup without the 12v. Like previously stated 90% of the time there is usually a problem with a ground causing problems. |

Found out the problem! The previous owner had somehow switched the pins to the connector. They had swapped the hot wire and the ground, ultimately leading to continuous blown fuses. Thanks for the help guys!
