rear coils the same for 60-62 &63-72?

Hey guys!

I've been looking into getting new rear coil springs for my '62 1/2ton longbed and I've seen listings saying some fit 60-72 and others say 60-62 only.

I'm planning on lowering with coils but even listings for stock coils say one or the other.

Is there actually a difference??

The earlier springs have equal spacing between the coils, later ones have a progressive spacing. A section of closer spaced coils is built into them for added performance under load, while the section with wider spacing helps to soften the ride when running light.

Thanks AcampoDave!

So other than the spring rate, they'll interchange?

I'm pretty sure they will. Can anyone else out there back that up?
