I'm excited, new 63 project!
Hi all. I am not new to 67-72 forums, I was previously on 47-59 side. I wanted to say hi and showoff my new 63 long project.
Hi , I'm an addict and I'm glad to be here!! The first is my 51 I did and passed on to another truck lover. The other, obviously is the new project. 63 longbed, 230 inline 6 and pretty straight body not all rusted out Texas truck. So hi all and here's a couple pics. You can see on the tailgate and back of cab where I cleaned off some of the oxidized paint to reveal some nice color. Thats all for now. |

Very nice truck, and it's black eyes have been preserved on the headlight bezels as well. Don't be shy showing off the engine compartment.
Is your Paint code 538?

Re: I'm excited, new 63 project!
Glad to see another Tulsa area truck guy. That is a very nice original patina truck. Is it running and driving ? In the Spring and summer we try to meet up at the 3 different cruise nights . Enjoy and looking forward to seeing in person.

I haven't had a ton of time to spend on it yet so I don't know about the paint code. I'm not %100 sure it was blue originally. It looks like it may have been an off white or light grey originally.

Another under hood. A theses are from the original CL ad so not very good. I did have to put and battery and fuel pump. Bypassed the old gas lines and replaced from fuel pump on. Ran a fresh hose to a gas can to fire up. Fired up pretty good.

Does the hat rack block the view from the mirror?
