I actually did a couple magazine articles on it... One was with a '57 Chevy front seat, the other was with the Suburban seat. I don't remember which mags... Hot Rod Deluxe was one, the other could have been Muscle Car Review, Chevy High Performance or Custom Classic Trucks.

Must suck to have a bad back .....

As far as cutting one down, my middle short seat has a curve in the tubing to contour the fenderwell.

Re: 2nd Row Seat

In August 2013 I found a second and third row seat at 4-5-6 Chevy. Spoke with Tony Smith who told me they were just frames but I bought them anyway (seeing as they're so hard to find). He wanted $1100.00 for the plus
$450.00 for shipping. We agreed to $1500.00 even. I sent him a check immediately which he cashed. It's Now June 18, 2014 and I still haven't received my seats. Countless calls and e-mails with no success. Anyone have any idea how to handle this? I don't want to travel to KS (from FL) just to squeeze my money back out of him. Has anyone else had bad dealings with 4-5-6 Chevy?

Re: 2nd Row Seat

You might have to file in small claims court or talk with a postal inspector, this may constitute as mail fraud. That would be if all else fails and you get no response what so ever after you feel like a proper time period has passed.

Cool Re: 2nd Row Seat

Here's what I wonder?
Subs with only second row seat get the full width one.
Subs with third seat gets full in the 3rd position and the short middle one ...right?

Second row seat has front sliding windows
Three seat sub has front and rear sliding windows?

and GMC Subs have the full length slide track for the rear seats

Am I close ??

Re: 2nd Row Seat

Lucifer, you are correct on the sliding window and seat relationship. Some had tracks and some were bolt down seats like my 61 GMC.

Here is another thread on the seats;

Re: 2nd Row Seat

kpc01, If you do decide to sell it, just let me know. I've been looking for the 2nd row smaller seat for awhile now. I'm in no rush, but am very intersted. I don't need the longer 3rd row seat.
Thanks,
Mark
