Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite
Well fellas this might be one of few updates for a nice while.
I do have a couple of items I have going into consideration right now. Budget will be limited as you guys know do to the wedding. I would like to have my truck in attendance at my wedding if I'm able to do it, so a couple products I'm going to buy while I'm on my little journey with work I'm going to buy me a lowering kit and leave bagging the truck till later in life and maybe a project to do with my kid. So going to go after a 4-4.5/6 drop also going to try to get a bed, and if money is okay going to try and get it all painted red. So please guys cross you fingers for me as I attempt this journey, again like I said I would like to have it ready for my wedding and have it there with me if possible. I also have started to consider doing away with my good ole faithful chevy 350 and looking into an ls1 with some mods, or throw a ls3 waiting to see prices before I want to make the decision.

Best of luck to you! I hope she's understanding about your project and not like my wife who gives me nothing but grief about what it's costing!

Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite
What's up fellas!!! Finally back home for a couple of weeks. Picked up an angle grinder so over the weeks I'm really going to begin to start cleaning up the frame and make it look pretty.
Just wanted to let y'all know I'm back home and what's on my agenda. Hope all is well with everyone and the projects are going good.

Hell yea man, if you can afford an LS3 do it. I'd do it in a heart beat, glad your back. Can't speak for myself though, my build thread may take another two years intil this unemployment and these part time jobs are gone ill be back in buisness. Obama care sucks!

Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite
Looks like I'm going to need some help once again if y'all can. Finally took out the truck for some drive time today sounded great at idle but when I started driving it, it was miserable. Whenever I would take off without putting my foot really in the throttle it was stumbling but if I just laid my foot into it, it stumbled and went balls to the walls any ideas?

Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite
On first impressions of what you say it's doing, it sounds like a vacuum leak. I had a hesitation like that on my first car. It was a 1958 Chevy Biscayne, with a 283 and a quadrajet. The carb gasket had a leak, which turned out to be an intake manifold problem not allowing the gasket to seal. Since you've got the new edelbrock intake on it, the intake should be fine. you may want to go get a new carb base gasket and try that. I'm not 100% on that, but it's a cheap start.
I can't remember and I'm in a bit of a hurry to go back through your thread, so help me out... did you ever do anything with your distributor, other than timing? What is it, points, HEI, etc? Did you replace any parts in it?

Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite
What's up fellas?? I hope everyone's projects are going good and getting done. Here's my little check in, haven't done much to the truck at all really trying to focus on my wedding.
I called an engine shop near my house, looking that sometime in the future get the trucks 350 to a 383 stroker. I have also kind of decided another possible direction on the truck y'all might hate me for it but I think it looks badass. If you have heard of a show called roadkill on youtube, in there latest episode they turned there 73 stepside into the ultimate dual sport and made it into a baja truck which inspired me to do that to my truck. I want to get it done right, but make it a true dual sport where I can take it to sand dunes/mudd have fun, and then if I feel like it throw some street tires take it into town. Just been tossing around the idea not set but I think it would look awesome. Getting ready to go back to work, probably won't be on much rest of the year but I will try to stop in and check on everyone. Again hope everyone's projects are coming along great and wish y'all the best!!

Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite
I'm still alive and breathing guys, update on the truck is honestly nothing. I haven't stopped working since last September, so I haven't had any time to wrench on the truck just been able to crank him up and let him run for a little while.
