Thanks BR3W for the "old school hot rod tune up" only described in the 20th century for us that grew up in the 60's.

So with computers why can't it be done remotely, on line, just asking.
Yes I would like to change shift points, or like you said raise the idle or..............

Can you follow me on a cell phone and change what I don't like, and I can experience that change while I have you on the phone?
Is it able to store and download a block of time?
I know my vacuum gauge and timing light will be gathering dust with this new project!!

Well...

I GUESS we could try and install a VMWARE on your machine, then run HPT in the virtual machine, gain control of your i/o and control the flash from my end....but frankly I've never know anyone with the time to try it.

I would be nervous that it would all be too confusing for the computer to handle, or so insanely RAM heavy it wouldn't function well.

Doing full remote tunes isn't possible yet, as there is no way to get wireless control of the pcm, and even then I wouldn't want to try and dump a tune WHILE someone is driving. Cool concept, but would essentialy grant beyond-Onstar levels of remote control....not something I want the police or blackhatters to gain access to.


Yes, it can download and log blocks of time.
