Thumbs up Numbers

Well the truck is done. Everything is working as it should and the Dino is done. I'm a little disappointed in the final numbers but I have a good running truck. It's not a race truck anyway.

MAX Torque at rear wheels =304.94
Max Horse Power @ rear wheels = 280.00
I'm a little disappointed but not that bad I guess for a stock motor.

Bruce says the transmission is responsible for the loss at the wheels.

He also had a car on the machine this morning to loss a drive shaft and he was probably a little hesitant to pull it really hard. Maybe!

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Numbers

Hmmmm.

Stock lq4 305-320ish

The 80e takes a bit of power to turn, and depending what wheels/tires I can see some drivetrain loss. I see #'s in excess of 17-20% of DTL with them, which would be approx 64 hp.

stock 320chp - DTL @64 = 256 rwhp
Your 280 rwhp + 64hp DTL = 344chp.

So your tune and emissions removal etc, and headers netted anywhere from 24-50hp, depending on how much fudge room the numbers have. Was it a mustang dyno or a dynojet?

Question Re: Numbers

The dino is a Dino jet according to the printout. He doesn't have a engine RPM on the sheet though.
I have 28" over all tires on the back.

Re: Numbers

Still overall you have an easy 300hp plus so nice for a stock build.

Re: Numbers

Well Andy4639, I think it's good considering what u have invested. What tranny are u using, air intake used, exhaust manifolds, size of exhaust tubes? There are many variables involved when one dyno tuning a vehicle. Be happy. You're on the road, unlike me and ur driving a cool hot rod. If your so unhappy with it, we can always trade. Enjoy.

I'd go DBC before I did that if I were you.

Your numbers seem pretty solid to me Andy. Nice.

Wink Re: Numbers

Not complaing a bit guys. I was just hoping for a little more than that. I'm happy. The truck does just fine. Now I can start figuring out what to do next to it!
I have a set of these sitting in the garage waiting to install and I have to pull the carpet out to finish the corner 6x9 speakers and hush matting on the floor.

Correct it's a Dyno Jet but not the AWD. The Dino was general speaking which was out of not knowing it was spelled Dyno.

Re: Numbers

Forget the numbers, how does it feel? I'm guessing way stronger than before. Later on you can swap the cam out and probably gain a 100 or so ponies. Work the bugs out and enjoy it, it has a lot more in it, .

This will be my next upgrade more than likely. This is what I was going to ask about from the vendors on the Power Tour about. Get some numbers and idea's from them while seeing their products in person.
