Talking Hawks Headers

Here are the 1 3/4" long tube headers www.hawksthridgencamaro.com installed on my LSx 6.0 in the 71. They fit well with very little frame work. In fact I bet most can't even tell where they did the work on the frame.

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

$700 is budget? Holy crap. My schoenfield swap headers were like $300 and required no frame trimming. Not to knock em but budget is mis used I think haha

I will agree that the word budget is a little mis leading here!They are very nice headers though.

Are you running Schoenfeld headers on a 67-72? I scored on a used set, and am hoping they'll clear the UCAs with the engine slid all the way back

Yes sir, my only issue was the factory linkage in the way and the factory trans crossmember, I trimmed 2" off the pass collector and chopped a U bend in half and spun one side 180* to make an S bend kinda. If it was my truck I would of built a new crossmember but at the time it was my brothers and he was on a budget.

Like your talking the shift linkage? How was clearance on the you're control arm? I've got a4l80 going in at the same time, and I'll be fabbing up a tranny, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Ya shift linkage, I was using a th350 so it might be a tighter fit for you a little bit. I had tons of a arm clearance but I built my own solid mounts.

I did see lokar had a cable shift to take the place of the arm. I was going to look into it as I had trouble shifting all the way to "first"
I swapped to a manual so I never looked further into it.
